In any case, I just had one and it was quite nice. It was filling but refreshing at the same time. I usually make my own smoothies and protein type drinks with Vega powders, but I could see myself having one of these when on the go.

315ml Serving: 180 Calories, 7g Fat, 23g Carbohydrate and 8g Protein

Ingredients:Filtered Water, Whole Organic Soybeans, Organic Evaporated Cane Juice, Sunflower Oil, Chicory Inulin (prebiotic), Natural Flavour, Calcium Carbonate, Sea Salt, Xantham Gum, Annatto, Vitamin A Palmitate, Sodium Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Riboflavin (B2), Vitamin D2, Vitamin B12, Thiamine (B1), Niacin (B3), Vitamin B6, Pantothenate (B5).

I am not sure what their Natural Flavour is and if its vegan. I have heard some wild and crazy things being included in this, but I would like to think a soy product such as this one would be vegetarian as it does include Vitamin D2 not D3.

This café features a gallery of photographic art and a seasonal vegetarian menu of desserts, coffees and teas. This summer there is an offering of vegan fudge and soy milkshakes. I had the vanilla shake and tasting of fudge. Both were delicious. The owner told me he will be making sandwiches in the fall with one being 100% vegan. The café is open until 6pm most days unless there is a live jazz show, then it is open into the evening.

Café Juicy Lotus est principalement pour emporter mais il y a aussi trois tables dans le coin ou vous pouvez prendre une pause et manger. Presque tout est fait frais chaque matin. Leurmenu change quotidiennement mais vous pouvez toujours trouver les galettes végétariens et des soupes dans leur comptoir pour emporter. Presque tout est végétalienne mais certaines sélections contiennent des oeufs ou des produits laitiers. S’il vous plaît vérifier avant de commander. Le personnel est très compétent. En tant que la propriétaire et beaucoup de membres du personnel sont directement impliqué dans la préparation.

Café Juicy Lotus is mainly for take out though they do have three tables in the corner so you can eat in. Most everything is made fresh each morning and as such their menu changes daily. However, you can find certain staples such as veggie burgers and soups in their take out counter.  Most everything is vegan though some selections do contain eggs and dairy so please check before ordering. The staff is very knowledgeable as the owner and much of the staff  is directly involved in the preparation.

Chuch shares the kitchen with the more upscale Chu Chai which is situated directly next door. Chuch is open for full menu service at lunch and at dinner. This restaurant also has an eat-in / take-out counter which is open as well during the hours of 2-5:30pm. It features a selection of simpler versions of their full menu. Many of their offerings are vegan, but do ask before to confirm. Like Chu Chai the focus is on fake meats in the Buddhist tradition. The ‘beef satay’ is amazing as is their ‘duck’ in red curry.
